An Inclusive Cricket Club In New York City

Wanderers NYCC was established in 2018 by a group of expats from South Africa, Australia, India and Sri Lanka.

The underlying vision is to provide an opportunity to young professionals in the New York Metropolitan area to play competitive cricket in an environment where long lasting relationships can be forged and fostered. We are a bunch of individuals from all around and we always seek to promote diversity and inclusion in all walks of life.

Whilst we will always strive to win, we believe that playing the game with passion, in the right spirit, and having respect for the opposition, our team mates, and all others involved is of significant importance. By embracing these values and the love of the game, we aim to grow the sport in the city and provide equal opportunities to all those who come after us.

In The News

Recently, several members of the Wanderers were invited by news agencies to share our thoughts on the proposed temporary cricket stadium at Van Cortland Park – our home ground. While we applaud the great effort to bring professional cricket to the tri-state area, we are deeply concerned that the stadium will force the cancellation of our league games and prevent the Wanderers from fulfilling it’s core mission.
